SignumEra is a Certus Ledger product being developed to modernize how important agreements are prepared, signed, finalized, and evidenced.
Traditional e-signature tools often focus on the signature itself. SignumEra is designed around a broader principle: serious agreements should be supported by identity, authority, document integrity, signing policy, finalization, and durable evidence.
What SignumEra does
SignumEra is being developed as a Microsoft-native agreement platform for professional, legal, financial, property, and commercial workflows.
The platform is intended to help organizations manage the full agreement lifecycle, including:
- selecting source documents from Microsoft 365 environments
- preparing signing rooms for agreements
- verifying signer identity and authority
- applying signing rules and witness requirements
- finalizing documents into durable PDF records
- generating evidence packages for audit and recordkeeping
- returning finalized records to the customer’s document environment
Why it matters
Many important agreements require more than a signature image. They require confidence that the right people signed the right document, in the right order, under the right conditions, with a clear record of what happened.
SignumEra is designed to address that need by moving from signature-first workflows toward evidence-first agreement protocol.
Microsoft-native by design
SignumEra is being built for customers who already rely on Microsoft 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.
The product direction is to keep customer documents in their existing Microsoft environment while SignumEra provides the signing room, policy checks, finalization process, and evidence layer.
This approach is intended to reduce unnecessary document movement, improve user familiarity, and support professional workflows where document control and auditability matter.

SignumEra is designed to produce a clear record of the agreement process, not merely collect signatures.
Document integrity
Prepared documents are intended to be bound to a specific source document, revision, and content hash before signing begins.
Policy-controlled signing
Signing order, signer eligibility, witness requirements, and finalization rules are intended to be enforced by the platform, not left only to the user interface.
Finalized records
The platform is designed to produce finalized PDF records and supporting evidence packages suitable for long-term retention.

Relationship to Certus Ledger

It is built on the wider Certus Ledger Signing Spine, the company’s shared infrastructure layer for verified signing, identity, agreement finalization, and evidence generation.
Status
SignumEra is currently in development.
